The Battle Creek Bombers jumped on the Wisconsin Woodchucks early Wednesday to end their three-game skid. Thanks to a 4-for-5, 3 RBI night from lead-off man Dan Swain, The Bombers earned a two-game split with the Woodchucks 7-2.

The Siena outfielder sparked the Bomb Squad bats with a lead-off homer, his second long ball of the season, part of a two-run first. Dre Gleason (Austin Peay) drove in two runs on the night and Trek Stemp (Washington State) added two hits to lead the way.

The early runs was all that Min Hsia (National Taiwan Sports) needed, going six innings and allowing a single run to move to 1-1 on the year.

The Bombers travel a little more north in Wisconsin, as they take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters to conclude their eight-game road trip. The Rafters are tied with the Bombers for fifth place in the Northwoods League's South Division, 4 1/2 games behind the division-leading Kenosha Kingfish. Layne Bruner (Washington State, 0-0) will get the start for the Bombers tonight. The Rafters will have Jon Malmin (Texas) make his season debut. First pitch at Witter Field is at 8:05pm.
