There was no offense out of the Battle Creek Bombers Monday night as they drop a 7-1 decision to the La Crosse Loggers at C.O. Brown Stadium. The loss ended a two-game winning streak and a chance to tie the Loggers in the Northwoods League's South Division.

The Bombers managed only two hits on the night, with Ryan Budnick (Santa Clara) driving in the lone run. Michael Sanderson (Cal Poly) had the other hit.

Jordan Knutson (Missouri State) had a rough first outing for the Bomb Squad, allowing five runs on seven hits in just four innings of work to take the loss.

The Bombers will continue their four-game home stand tonight with the first of two games with the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The Woodchucks sit in seventh place in the South, three games behind the Bombers for sixth, with less than a week before the first half ends.

Layne Bruner (Washington State, 0-0) will get the start tonight for the Bombers. The Woodchucks, losers of their last four games, have not announced a starter for tonight. First pitch is at 7:05pm.
