Two Battle Creek Bombers pitchers held the Madison Mallards to just four hits in a 8-0 shutout Tuesday night.

Layne Bruner (Washington State) and Edgar Sanchez (Cedar Valley College) each allowed two hits, with Sanchez earning the victory in relief with 4 2/3 innings pitched. He's now 2-1 on the season.

Offensively, Cayce Bredlau (Austin Peay) drove in three runs on his 2-for-5 night, while Matt Simmons (Gardner-Webb) and Trek Stemp (Washington State) knocked in two runs each. Tim McKeithan (Brown) also went 3-for-4 on the night.

After a 2-2 homestand, the Bombers are back on the road for the next four days. They begin a two-game series Wednesday night in La Crosse, Wisconsin to take on the Loggers. Cameron Ming (Arizona, 1-2) gets the start for the Bombers, and the Loggers will send out Graham Spraker (Quincy, 1-1). First pitch at Copeland Park is at 8:05 p.m.
