Construction is set to get underway, this Wednesday, on the new Battle Creek Police Department building. According to a release from the City of Battle Creek, the first phase of the $15.5 million project is expected to take four to six weeks. During construction, John Patterson Way will be closed to thru traffic from East Michigan to Division Street, but both entrances to the City Hall parking lot will be accessible. The new building has been planned to “provide much-needed space to police staff, as well as community spaces, helping better connect police and the community.”
