Battle Creek Authorities conducted a meth sweep of a different kind this week; instead of producers or distributors, they were looking for users.

In a joint operation involving local police and sheriff units, Child Protective Services, and probation officers, authorities began going to the residences of possible meth users Wednesday and asking questions.

Officers did not have search warrants going in, but were looking for consent to search and would obtain warrants if necessary.

Through the sweep, four arrests were made, some related to meth manufacture and others on warrants.  Two more people are having warrants sought for them.
