In his latest observations of the west Michigan economy, Grand Valley State University Director of Supply Chain Management Dr. Brian Long tells WBCK he sees slight stagnation. The upside to that is he doesn't see a retraction in local economic growth.

As well, Long cited the latest unemployment numbers in Calhoun County, which are improving. Long said the economy is, generally, on the cusp of a point where employers will begin to offer higher wages because they aren't seeing enough response to appeals for applicants of certain positions.
