A Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputy pled guilty to driving while intoxicated and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

According to MLive, Noemi Garza stood trial in Kalamazoo District Court Thursday. In exchange for a guilty plea, charges of attempted resisting and obstructing police and failure to stop at the scene of a collision will be dropped.

Garza was arrested June 13 by Kalamazoo Public Safety officers. She will be sentenced November 10th.
