Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a single car, personal injury accident in the 400 block of Goguac St., early Sunday morning.

Authorities report that deputies were advised that a vehicle had driven into a house at approximately 2:00 am. Upon arrival, deputies found that the vehicle had been northbound on LaVista Ave, when it failed to stop at the "T" intersection at Goguac St.  The vehicle had traveled through the intersection, across the front yard and through the front of a residence.  The vehicle went completely through an exterior wall and stopped inside the living room.

Fortunately there was no one home at the time of the incident.

Deputies found the driver of the vehicle, identified as a 27 year old Springfield man, pinned in the vehicle.  The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Bronson Kalamazoo Hospital.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and has been listed in critical condition.

Deputies believe that speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
