It was a pleasant evening, in the Cereal City, when a Battle Creek Police officer noticed a smell that wasn’t the usual cooked cereal smell that usually wafts across the city. It was a pungent odor, coming from an apartment in the 100 block of Rambling Lane. It seemed to be the distinct odor of marijuana, and the officer obtained a search warrant and rambled back to Rambling Lane, where he met a suspect, who was cooperative, and was busted for 30 marijuana plants and over $300 in cash.

The case is being forwarded to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office.
