A guilty plea has now been made by a Battle Creek man in a child pornography case.

The US Attorney’s Office of Western Michigan says Thursday that 44-year-old Matthew Andaluz pleaded to a charge of producing child porn, and will serve between 15 and 30 years after sentencing. Andaluz admitted to authorities that he took explicit photographs of a then 10-year-old child, in late 2010 and early 2011, at his home in Calhoun County.

He was arrested in December of 2016, after authorities determined that the illegal images were circulated online, and they managed to track their source to Andaluz’s house. Also arrested in that case was Elizabeth Evans, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexual exploitation of a child.

Andaluz's sentencing is set for September 25.
