The City of Battle Creek is calling all artists to create an art piece that could be displayed in their newly-renovated City Hall conference room 302A.

They are asking artists of all ages from the Battle Creek area to submit a photo, painting or drawing that represents the mission and vision of the City of Battle Creek. Those are the only guidelines – the sky’s the limit on your interpretation.

The selected pieces of artwork will be displayed in the third-floor conference room, where many meetings and City Commission work sessions take place – with the piece’s title and the artist’s name. They will be viewed by countless city staff, residents and commissioners. The pieces also will be featured on their social media and may be used for future promotional materials.

Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2.  To enter:

  • Send a photo of your piece.
  • Include the piece’s title, artist’s name, dimensions of the piece and your contact information.
  • Title entries “Conference Room Art” and send by email to PublicInput@battlecreekmi.gov or by mail to Attn: Katie Norton, City of Battle Creek, 10 N. Division St., Battle Creek, MI 49014
