Clinic For Opioid Abuse Treatment Opening Near Battle Creek’s Downtown

Those struggling with opioid use and abuse in Battle Creek now have another option for help.

The Battle Creek Enquirer says that Recover Together Inc, a New Hampshire chain that operates opiate recovery clinics, has opened a clinic in the building at the intersection of West Michigan and Washington Avenues in downtown Battle Creek; this location is their first in Michigan. The clinic, which is private and charges $65 a week, runs a program consisting of group therapy sessions and treatment including the medication Suboxone, which helps curb opioid withdrawal.

According to the Substance Abuse Council, so far in 2018 Calhoun County has had 33 non-fatal opiate overdoses.
