Comstock 6-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Crash

A 6-year-old is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV over the weekend.

Around 7pm Saturday, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 6500 block of East JK Ave in Comstock Township.  Authorities say that an SUV driven by a 16-year-old was travelling westbound, when the young boy rode into the path of the vehicle on a scooter.

The boy was taken to Bronson with critical injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, but authorities do say at this time that alcohol was not a factor.
