County authorities are warning residents to take some precautions as temperatures climb.  The Emergency Management Office in Calhoun County is asking that citizens be especially careful to check on vulnerable people like older relatives and neighbors.  They say parents should be careful to keep babies and young children out of the sun and kept well hydrated.  Pet owners are being reminded to keep water available for their animals and to ensure that they have adequate shade.
