Crash Near Marshall Leaves One Dead

One person is dead after a crash on I-94 near I-69.

The crash occurred around 2:15 am Friday, where a semi collided with a car.  Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies say that the car was parked in the right lane at the I-94/I-69 interchange, and the semi driver couldn’t stop in time, driving over the car and mangling it.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, with authorities looking into the possibility of impairment being a factor.  The semi driver was uninjured.

Traffic in both directions was shut down and diverted for hours while the accident was cleaned up.
