Crews are working to clear roads and restore electricity in the aftermath of harsh weather last night.

Rob Grossedefon of Outdoor Landscape and Supplies tells WBCK that the main roads are largely fine, but "where the problem is this morning, is going to be all of these subdivision roads, and all the subdivision roads... They're almost impassable."

Meanwhile crews from Consumers Energy and DTE Energy are working to restore power to thousands throughout the Lower Peninsula who were affected.

Garrick Rochow, Vice President of Customer Experience at Consumers Energy, tells WBCK that around 25,000 Consumers customers were without power around 8am.  He says most of those are expected to get service back later today, but some will continue to be into the dark into tomorrow.
