Authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to a semi crashing on the highway yesterday morning, resulting in the death of the driver.  Sheriff’s Deputies say the 49-year-old Ontario man driving the semi was unable to slow in time to avoid another accident ahead of him shortly before 8am, and instead drove off westbound I-94 near mile marker 118.  The truck hit several trees and immediately caught fire.  Other drivers tried to rescue the semi driver but couldn't get past the flames and he was pronounced ‘dead’ at the scene.
