Did Fishing Buddy Shoot Neighbor?

A Battle Creek man was shot after spending the day fishing and drinking with his neighbor.

Battle Creek Police responded to the 100 block of Greenwood Avenue on a call of a shooting, around 4:00 PM. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 50 year-old man who had been shot. The victim claimed that he and his neighbor had spent the day fishing, drinking and arguing. When they returned home they continued to drink and argue. The argument became physical, the victim claims that he started to walk to his home and the suspect went inside his home and returned, shooting the victim.

The victim was taken to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the incident is still under investigation.
