A disabled veteran will be getting a nice Christmas present as a result of some Calhoun County teamwork.

When Levi Jenkins and his family bought a house under a land contract, they thought all they had to do was make the payments.   But authorities say the seller didn’t hold up his end of the deal and failed to pay property taxes.  The house went through tax foreclosure.

On Tuesday, he'll be given the house, after work by the Calhoun county Land Bank, Legal Services of South Central Michigan and Calhoun County Treasurer Christine Schauer.
