The wave of kneeling by liberals to show disrespect to our flag, country and police force is growing.

Now it has reached the liberal bastion of Ann Arbor and I am not talking about the U of M football team.

At Monday’s Ann Arbor city council meeting, four council members took a knee during the Pledge of Allegiance.

One member, Chuck Warpehoski, was quoted in a Mlive report stating:

I can't speak to what is in each person's heart, but for me to 'take a knee' is an act of attention, of concern, and of respect, and it is in that spirit that I take a knee at tonight's City Council meeting: out of respect for the aspiration that we be a nation 'with liberty and justice for all,' with full attention that we fall short of that ideal in many ways, and with humble dedication to continue to work that the promise of the pledge may be fulfilled.

It now appears to me that they are all now just wanting attention for themselves and they received it from Mlive and now me.  Maybe I am part of the problem now.

Another council member Sumi Kailasapathy stated during the meeting:

For me, taking a knee is also showing solidarity with the group of people who have been doing this at the national level

I certainly would not want to be part of the Ann Arbor police force now that they know they have at least four members of the city council who does not respect them or the work that they do.

It is interesting that these four decided to become council members protected by the police force that they do not respect instead of doing the dangerous job of being police, and help clean up all the bad police in their ranks.

For those of you who believe I am making too much out of their sign of disrespect then you would have to agree that these people who are kneeling are doing the same thing when it comes to police brutality.

I would think that 99.9% of police are not racist or bigots, too bad we now can no longer say that about the Ann Arbor city commission.  Those kneeling certainly can be looked at as possible bigots since they are condemning all police forces with their action.

Remember the definition of a bigot is:

one who regards or treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance

Good luck Ann Arbor police, since you now know you do not have at least four members of you city commission solidly behind you.  Anything you do now will be looked at as suspect by these four.

I wonder how these four city council members would feel if the police protecting them were to take a knee when someone is attempting to harm them?

By the way where were these protest by the Ann Arbor city council members and others a year or two ago, did the mistreatment of non-white people just start happening this year?  This proves it is all political my friends all political.
