Albion College says it right on its website. The college is about something bigger - namely, the town of Albion itself. And that's why, President Mauri Ditzler says, they have worked out a plan to pay for the college tuition of some local graduates.

Ditlzer tells The Richard Piet Show on WBCK the plan is simply a rearranging of priorities most colleges face. That is, he says, most colleges have space for a few extra students, and often, they choose to offer scholarships to athletes or valedictorians. In Albion's case, they've chosen to make an investment in the community with those spaces instead.
