Domestic Violence Turns to Murder in Battle Creek
A 61-year-old man is behind bars and waiting for a murder charge in Calhoun County Court.
The Battle Creek Police responded to the 600 block of East Michigan Avenue around 4:30am Monday morning, after a domestic dispute resulted in a woman sustaining multiple head injuries.
The 55-year-old Battle Creek woman was taken to Bronson-Battle Creek, where she later died from her injuries. The man was arrested initially for domestic violence, but investigators are now seeking a murder charge instead.
The investigation of the case continues. The man is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
