Michigan Ave. In Downtown Battle Creek Closed Thursday

A major road closure starts in Battle Creek Thursday.

The City of Battle Creek says on their website that starting Thursday morning, Michigan Ave. in front of the Heritage Tower in downtown will be completely closed in both directions, so that work can be done on the roof of the structure. Motorists will still have access to the parking lot in the area, but those traveling through are asked to use a detour on Capital Ave, Van Buren St. and McCamly St.

Depending on the weather, this work could be delayed, but right now it is expected to wrap up around noon Friday.
