Driver Failing To Yield During Turn Causes Crash In Portage

A driver making an improper left turn sent another motorist to the hospital Wednesday in Portage.

WWMT reports that just before 7am Wednesday, authorities say that a vehicle travelling west on West Centre Ave. took a left turn without yielding, and was struck by an eastbound truck.

The 43-year-old Lawton man in the eastbound truck had to be cut from his vehicle, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It’s not known if the driver taking the left turn was injured.
