20 drivers involved in a large pileup on I-94 earlier this month have been cited for their actions.

The Michigan State Police says it has mailed the citations to the drivers of four commercial vehicles and 16 passenger vehicles, most of them for driving too fast in the snowy conditions.

The Van Buren County crash occurred on January 17 near Hartford, with cars continuing to pile-up due to the white out conditions.  52 vehicles were involved, leaving two dead and 14 injured.

Along with the citations, the Van Buren County Prosecutor is looking into the possibility of criminal charges.
