Big Band Jazz Concert with the Otsego Jazz Ensemble on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 6:30-8:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 321 South St., Kalamazoo, MI; free and open to the public. The Otsego Jazz Ensemble is a 17-piece jazz band from Otsego, Michigan that has played big band jazz for over 30 years in SW Michigan. The band plays music from the big band era of the 1930’s and 40’s including Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and Count Basie and modern arrangements covering many music styles like rock, pop and, of course, jazz. This evening will feature special guest artist, Wayne Powers, nationally known recording artist and actor, who will add his singular vocal stylings to the band. Come after the October Kalamazoo Art Hop and enjoy an evening of big band jazz with the Otsego Jazz Ensemble.
