Brass & BBQ to be held to raise money for the Brass Band of Battle Creek

The Brass Band of Battle Creek will hold the second annual “Brass & BBQ” on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Kellogg Dining Hall located on the campus of Sherman Lake YMCA. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and a program, and will conclude after the BBBC’s Youth Brass Band performance at the Sherman Lake band shell that begins at 8 p.m. Come and learn about all of the wonderful work the BBBC is doing in your community!

The evening is very casual, so summer attire is welcomed! Dinner will be picnic fare including burgers, hot dogs, and assorted salads, and served in the beautiful Kellogg Dining Hall. You will also be treated to a cool treat from Cool Mama’s Ice Cream for dessert during the concert!

There is no cost to attend this event, however, please know that during the program there will be an appeal for support. You are not in any way obligated to give, and a donation is not required to attend the event. This event is a great way to experience all that the Brass Band of Battle Creek has to offer. After last year’s success, “Brass and BBQ” has become the BBBC’s main fundraising event. Last year the event raised over $60,000! Organizers, Roger and Sue Lewis and David and Suzanne Nielsen, hope this year’s event will be just as successful!
