Additional Information

Vital Records of England and Wales will be the topic of the Calhoun County Genealogical Society’s Tuesday, October 25, 7 p.m., meeting. Meetings are held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) Church, 16036 Old 27 North, Marshall, MI. All meetings are free and open to the public.
Jeff Mason, this month’s speaker, will help attendees get in touch with their “across the pond” ancestry. Mason will provide tips, tricks, and resources for finding your England and Wales ancestors.
Jeff has worked as a CPA in the Lansing area for the past 25 years, currently working as a Tax Manager for Kutas & Associates, P.C. He has been an active genealogist for the last 40 years, doing extensive research in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He has also performed extensive research of records in England & Wales, to include obtaining birth, marriage, and death certificates, census records and parish records. His English research has taken him to the former Family History Centre in London, the Society of Genealogists in London, the Worcestershire County Records office, and visits to ancestral hometowns in rural England.
