The death of a police officer in the line of duty sends shock waves through the law enforcement community, far and wide. That was evident, most recently, at the services for Richland native Officer Collin Rose, gunned down while on duty in Detroit in November.

Battle Creek Police Chief Jim Blocker and Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton spoke frankly with WBCK about how they manage the aftermath of such news in their respective departments, as well as how significant the problem has become.
