Family and Pets Safe After Fire in Battle Creek

Battle Creek Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire Tuesday morning just off of Morgan Road.

Firefighters responded to the Rolling Hills Manufactured Homes community just after 7am, after a home on Mowerson Drive caught fire. The fire was limited to the living room with smoke damage throughout the home.

Two people inside, along with two dogs and more than half a dozen cats were able to escape without injury. The amount of damage is still being determined.
