Fire Damages House In Battle Creek

No one was hurt when a home in Battle Creek caught fire yesterday.

Fire crews arrived at a home at the corner of North McKinley and Sherman at around 3:30 AM Sunday.

A man, woman and a 2 year old were able to escape the fire without injury.

The fire itself is believed to have begun in the chimney but the fire remains under investigation.

Damage is estimated at over $17-thousand dollars.
