Fire Department Training On Helmer Road Near Airport

Firefighting exercises are taking place Tuesday, July 26 through Thursday, July 28, along North Helmer Road near the FedEx 727 plane at the WMU College of Aviation.

The City of Battle Creek says in a release that fire trucks and personnel will be at the scene, for morning and afternoon sessions.

The training is to help firefighters familiarize themselves with aircraft, and to help their reaction to a potential emergency at the airport.
