Fire Destroys Apartment Building in Battle Creek

A large fire last night destroyed an apartment building for seniors in Battle Creek.  Though one of the buildings at the Lakeview Meadows complex burned down, authorities say all the residents were evacuated safely and no other injuries were reported.  The fire was reported shortly before 9pm and burned for a few hours with some oxygen tank explosions causing flare ups.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
