Fire Destroys Bedford Business Monday Morning

A fire in Battle Creek has caused severe damage to two businesses Monday morning.

The fire started around 1:30am, at Elliotts Woodshop in the 400 block of Bedford Road North, in Bedford Charter Township.  Fire crews were able to contain the flames to that business, but it is considered a total loss.Steve’s Pizza in the adjoining unit of the building suffered water and possible smoke damage.

The cause of the fire isn’t known at this time, but it isn’t believed to be suspicious.
