Fleury’s Perspective on Economic Development [Audio]

Battle Creek City Manager Rebecca Fleury spoke on The Richard Piet Show Friday about economic development efforts in the city. Fleury, who assumed the city manager post in October, has an open mind about potential continued relationships with Battle Creek Unlimited. She also, though, seemed open minded about potential synergies with Southwest Michigan First.

While suggesting a regional approach to economic development isn't a new concept, Fleury said some of it is already happening.

"If you look at governmental entities and communities and regions, they've been partnering for decades," Fleury said. "It just hasn't been to the forefront."
