Fort Custer Stampede, Southwest Michigan Mountain Biking Association's annual race is May 1 at Fort Custer Recreation Area in Augusta.

Fort Custer Recreation Area is one of the best places to test your mountain biking skills in Southwest Michigan and now you can see how you measure up to other riders.

Each Year Southwest Michigan Mountain Biking Association (SWMMBA) hosts this annual event with proceeds helping the club to build and maintain trails throughout the area.

Registration is $30 with three divisions:

  1. Elite & Expert
  2. Sport
  3. Beginner

Start times are 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively, giving newer riders a chance to get out there but not feel like they are getting in the way. Divisions are also divided by age and sex and there are a few cash prizes to be won. Adults (21 and up) also get a free beer from Old Mill Brewing after your race, win or lose!
