Battle Creek authorities are investigating after a home caught fire for the third time in as many months over the weekend.

The Battle Creek Fire Department says that just before 9pm Saturday, the home in the 100 block of W. Fountain St. had a fire start in the rear. It was quickly extinguished by responding firefighters, and no one was injured; however, $15,000 in damage was done.

Right now, this fire is being considered suspicious, and it’s the third time this home has caught fire since September. The Fire Marshal and Battle Creek Police are investigating.
