Four Arrested For Elaborate Robbery of Battle Creek Target

An elaborate robbery plot of a Target store in Battle Creek was foiled by an attentive employee.

The off duty Target employee called 911 around 9pm Tuesday, saying they saw two men stealing flat screen TV’s from the store and loading them into a getaway vehicle containing two more suspects.  The employee followed the suspects and witnessed them switch the license plates on their vehicle, until authorities showed up.

Officers pulled over the vehicle on the ramp from Helmer road to I-94.  Two of the suspects tried to get away while their compatriots were arrested, but they were apprehended.

All four suspects are from Kalamazoo, and were lodged in the Calhoun County Jail on Felony Organized Retail Fraud charges.
