According to South Bend's WSBT, the Polkagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and the City of South Bend have made an "historic, multi-million dollar" deal to bring a casino to the home of the Fighting Irish.

The City will foot the bill for the $400 million village development including water and sewage in return for approximately $5 million over the next 5 years and 2% of the casino's earnings funneled back into the community.

This will be the fourth Four Winds property; the others are located in New Buffalo, Hartford and Dowogiac.

No opening date or even groundbreaking ceremonies have been scheuled at this point but soon, Hoosiers will be deciding weather to hit or hold and Big 10 sports fans will be cheering for "7 come 11" at a new casino in South Bend.
