Garage Fire In Kalamazoo Deemed Arson, One Arrested

A Kalamazoo man has been arrested, after a garage burned to the ground yesterday.

WWMT reports that fire crews from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to Francis Ct. at Lake St. around 10pm Thursday, to find a garage fully involved with flames.  Firefighters worked to contain the blaze to the garage and prevent it from spreading to a nearby house, and were successful, although the building is a total loss.

No one was injured due to the fire. 

Investigators believe the fire was arson, and a 20-year-old man was arrested early Friday, and taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
