George Mack Found Guilty Of First-Degree Murder

A Kalamazoo County jury has found a man guilty of first degree murder, for killing his ex-girlfriend’s brother.

MLive reports the decision was made Thursday afternoon, after the week-long trial of George Mack. Prosecutors say that the night of August 9, 2015, Mack had been arguing with Edward Bell, the brother of his ex, Erica Bell, outside of her home.

Mack left the area, and allegedly came back with a semi-automatic rifle and shot Edward several times, leaving him dead. Mack was found and arrested a few days later in Las Vegas.

Besides First-Degree Murder, Mack was also found guilty of Felony Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Aggravated Stalking and Felony Murder. A date for sentencing has not been announced.
