Have you ever seen a Ghost Bike before?

I drive by one everyday and wondered if anybody else has seen one.

A ghost bike is a memorial for bicyclists who are killed or hit on the street.  A bike is fully-painted white then locked to a sign by the crash site as a memorial.

The one I see on a daily basis is in Augusta near the Fort Custer National Cemetery.

I did not know that these where all over. There even is a Ghost Bikes Facebook page set up and also a national website.

It's sad that these have to be put up, but hopefully it reminds us to watch out for bicyclists.
