After six area squads made it to the MHSAA Regional Semifinals in Girls Basketball, only two remain with a chance at a Regional title.

The Lakeview Spartans' best postseason run in school history came to an end as they fall to the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants for the third time this season.

In what was touted as the biggest game of the night for the area squads, the Marshall Redhawks dream season finishes with a two-point defeat to Wolverine Conference champion Plainwell.

In Class C, the two area teams in the same regional will square off for the title, as Galesburg-Augusta and Homer advance with wins over Manchester and Napoleon, respectively.

Among the small schools, both St. Philip and Athens were trounced in their separate semifinal battles.
