Watch As Crews Begin To Disassemble Grand Haven Catwalk and Change the Lake Michigan View Forever

A hallmark of the Grand Haven shoreline, the historic catwalk is being removed from the pier.

We got the news earlier this Summer that Grand Haven's seminal lighthouse, pier and catwalk were due for overhaul by the Army Corp of Engineers.

As you can see in the YouTube video above, that work has begun.

The promenade will remain closed until the scheduled work is completed sometime in 2017.
