Grant Assistance, Bonds and a Fire Engine for Battle Creek Commission

The Battle Creek City Commission returns to City Hall tonight for their regularly scheduled meeting.

On tonight’s agenda, the Commission will look into authorizing a contract agreement to purchase a new fire engine from the Houston-Galveston Area Council in Texas, an agreement for wellhead protection grant assistance from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

Commissioners will also look at purchasing an area on Parish Street for a dollar from the Calhoun County Land Bank, the renewal of health and dental plans for city employees, and the issuing of limited tax bonds for capital improvements that include a new Police facility.

The meeting at City Hall is at 7pm tonight.
