Great News! MI Incomes Rise
Our incomes in Michigan have risen for the first time since 2007.
New census data reveals that median incomes in Michigan have risen 1.7% since 2012.
Michigan's median household income in 2013 rose to $48,273, increasing 1.7 percent from 2012, according to the American Community Survey.
There is even better news for the six-county southeast Michigan area, median income increased 1.9 percent to $51,857.
Now let's compare that with median income nationally, they rose 0.6 percent to $52,250.
Unfortunately the median household income nationally over the last six years is 8% lower than 2007.
