Police Officers working with the Gang Suppression Unit, the Highway Interdiction Team and the Battle Creek Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Hubbard St. Thursday night.

The investigation by the Gang Suppression Unit culminated in the seizure of narcotics and guns.  A total of 6 guns were seized from the home.  Three handguns, a shotgun, an assault rifle, and a machine pistol were among the guns seized.

Two of the six guns taken by the Battle Creek Police investigators, may have been used in a shooting that happened in July of this year.  Forensic testing by the Battle Creek Police Department and the Michigan State Police will help determine if these guns were used in that shooting.

One female was arrested for warrants, delivery of narcotics and several weapons violations.

The Battle Creek Police Department feels that this latest seizure will help diminish shootings that the community has recently faced.
