An event is being held in the Harper Creek Community Schools district to allow potential voters to learn more about the candidates for school board.

The district says that the "Meet The Candidates" event will allow voters the chance to learn more, and also ask questions. The event will allow the candidates to give brief opening remarks, before the mistress of ceremony asks predetermined questions; audience members will also have the opportunity to ask written questions of those seeking to sit on the Board of Education.

Three seats are up for election this November, two of which are six year terms and one of which is for a partial term that expires 12/31/22. The candidates are as follows:

  • Six Year Term Candidates: Lisa Hubbard (incumbent), Tina McNeil (incumbent), Dr. Dale Borders
  • Partial Term Candidates: Jason L. Smith, Rodger King

The "Meet The Candidates" event takes place on October 16, at the Harper Creek High School Library starting at 6pm.

These elections will take place as part of the November 6 general election.
