The Haven of Rest homeless shelter in Battle Creek is appealing to the community for assistance with donations of paper products, specifically toilet paper, paper towels and copy paper for use in its ministries.

"With a population on average of 150 men, women and children per night at our shelters, we use roughly 25 to 30 times the amount of paper products that a single family home would go through on a daily basis," The Haven Executive Director Elaine Hunsicker said. "It may sound like such a non-critical thing, but it does take paper products to run our ministries."

Donations may be dropped off at The Haven of Rest, 11 Green Street in Battle Creek, across from the County Justice Building downtown. Click here for more information about The Haven of Rest.
