The large amount of rain in the region has caused one of the first casualties on the Calhoun County roadways.

A small stretch of 10 Mile Road in Burlington Township is closed due to a culvert breach. The Calhoun County Road Commission made the announcement around Noon Tuesday to seek an alternate route.

The road sits just east of Union City and is predominately surrounded by farm land. Alternate routes include 11 Mile Road to the east and 9 Mile Road to the west. Taking both south will take you to South County Line Road (or Wagner Road for Branch County residents).

The green line shows the affected area of 10 Mile Road between W Drive South and South County Line Road. (Google Maps)
